An automotive switching regulator (DC-DC converter) is a regulator (stabilized power supply), and can convert input direct current (DC) voltage to the desired direct current (DC) voltage. In an automotive electronic device, a switching regulator takes the role of converting the voltage from a battery or other power source to the voltages required by subsequent systems.
ABLIC's automotive switching regulators are available in both step-down (buck) and step-up (boost) types. They come in compact packages such as 1.6×1.6mm and 2.0×3.0mm, as well as high-withstand voltage products with a 36V input and a 45 V rating. In addition, they offer a wide range of functions, including overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, a spread spectrum clock generation circuit, Power Good, and a STATUS pin.
Moreover, our automotive switching regulators are AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) capable. This ensures high quality and reliability, making them suitable for safety critical components such as EPS motors and traction inverters. We also support customers' automotive application designs through the provision of FIT rate.
