Eiichi KumasawaSenior Vice President

He joined Akita Precision Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Seiko Instruments Inc., in 1986, spending a decade in watch manufacturing.
In 1996, following the transition to in-house semiconductor back-end processing, he helped establish the back-end manufacturing department in Akita, subsequently spearheading production expansion and operational efficiency.
He was appointed Director of the Back-End Manufacturing Department in 2019, and from 2020, dedicated himself to driving synergies through "Sogo" (integrated collaboration) with the MinebeaMitsumi Group's semiconductor division.
He assumed the position of Head of the Akita Plant in 2023, demonstrating broad leadership in enhancing corporate value, workplace revitalization, community contribution, and recruitment.
While concurrently leading the Akita Plant, he was appointed Executive Officer in charge of the Manufacturing Domain in October 2024, expanding his oversight to front-end manufacturing. Committed to an open workplace culture, he manages the domain with a strong emphasis on dialogue, "Genba-ism" (a hands-on approach), and a philosophy of "humility, gratitude, and active listening," serving in his current position since June 2026.

Leading the world with "Connected Our Passion"—toward a proud future of manufacturing excellence.

As a dedicated analog semiconductor manufacturer that continues to evolve, our greatest strength lies in the seamless, close-knit collaboration among our development & design, sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments. As the head of the manufacturing division, my mission is to maximize the synergies within the MinebeaMitsumi Group and build the "strongest global production system," where manufacturing bases around the world complement and elevate one another's strengths.

In addition to maximizing the capacity utilization of our in-house plants for both front-end and back-end processing, we have established a resilient supply chain by flexibly integrating outsourcing strategies with foundries and OSAT providers. Furthermore, by rigorously pursuing cutting-edge automation and workplace innovation driven by AI and DX, we will push human productivity to its limits, relentlessly evolving our operations into "the world's most profitable, wealth-generating manufacturing team."
However, the future we envision is not merely about building efficient factories. It is about creating a "Model Organization" that serves as a global benchmark—one where every individual supporting our operations unites as "One Team" toward a shared goal, embracing a "My Ball Spirit" of deep personal ownership, while passing down master skills and techniques to the next generation.
Through this robust manufacturing foundation, we will ensure a stable, global supply of high-value-added analog semiconductors, which are essential for automotive applications, healthcare, and the lithium-ion batteries driving a sustainable society. We believe this is the ultimate contribution and responsibility we bear toward society.
"Connected Our Passion! Relentless in Our Challenges! Toward Manufacturing We Can All Be Proud Of!"
Under this slogan, we will continue to embrace challenges that support the future of the world, driven by pride and passion.
