Kiyoshi AbeDirector and Senior Vice President
He joined Seiko Instruments Inc. after graduating from law school in 1989. From then on, for about ten years he gained experience in accounting and finance departments.
Following that, he worked in various roles in a manufacturing subsidiary and the management department, then became the finance officer for a Thai subsidiary.
After returning to Japan in 2017, he was assigned to the finance and accounting department of ABLIC Inc., which had undergone a company name change from SII Semiconductor Corporation, and was given his current position in April 2023 where he remains today.
ABLIC is not afraid of challenges. The corporate climate is one that welcomes challenges, which I feel it is a very good fit for me.
As put forth in the corporate philosophy, ABLIC aims “To continue supporting people's rich and joyful lives by opening a path to the future with our innovative thinking, technology, and actions” through manufacturing and selling semiconductors. I take pride in that and being a member of the Global One Team.
As the person responsible for the finance department, I don't fear risks or take a negative attitude toward risks generated in the process of expanding business or taking up challenges. Instead, I welcome the challenge, control the risk, and provide support so that the business can be expanded through financial means. I also aim to create an environment enabling my ABLIC colleagues to take up challenges with a sense of security and give assistance from a financial standpoint. Although the finance department is unable to directly bring ABLIC semiconductors to everyone around the world, I feel pride and joy in being able to help with the expansion of ABLIC business and company challenges.
