The S-82F9/82D9 Series can light up 5 or 4 LEDs and monitors voltage to provide a simple indication of the remaining battery level. Integrating multiple voltage monitoring functions into a single IC helps save space in systems. Furthermore, operating without a microcontroller reduces power consumption for battery voltage monitoring.

Additionally, the S-8229A Series, capable of lighting up 3 LEDs, allows you to select the optimal IC based on the number of LEDs required for battery level indication.

The S-82F9/82D9 Series offers a choice between EN (Enable) and SENSE pins, making it ideal for simple battery level indication in various devices.

EN Pin Equipped (A Series):
By turning off the IC when the LEDs are not lit, the current consumption of the IC itself is suppressed to 0.1μA max, contributing to lower power consumption in battery-powered devices.

SENSE Pin Equipped (B Series):
By combining with external components, voltage monitoring is possible even with batteries in series that exceed the IC’s 28V rating.
