Overview
A Cockpit Domain Controller (CDC) is an ECU that centrally manages multiple displays and functions, including speedometers, head-up displays (HUDs), navigation systems, audio systems, and air conditioning. There is a growing trend toward using ultra-high-performance SoCs to integrate both the CDC and the Telematics Control Unit (TCU).
By consolidating previously separate displays and functions, user convenience is significantly enhanced. Furthermore, integrating functions such as ADAS and DMS also contributes to improved safety.
ABLIC offers ICs that are ideal for CDCs.
ABLIC provides a comprehensive product lineup, including:
- Connection diagnosis ICs that supply power to amplifiers for GNSS, DAB, and AM/FM antennas
- Lithium-ion battery protection ICs suitable for monitoring individual battery cell voltages
- Step-up controllers (switching regulators) for charging backup batteries
- Watchdog timers that monitor MCUs
- Backup RTCs (real-time clocks) and the industry's lowest current consumption LDOs ideal for powering backup RTCs
- Battery monitoring ICs for detecting abnormal voltages in 12V auxiliary batteries
