What is the Cell balancing function?

The cell-balance function is a feature that corrects the voltage imbalance among individual cells connected in series. When multiple cells are used in series and undergo repeated charging and discharging cycles, the characteristic variation of lithium-ion batteries can lead to differences (imbalances) in the voltage of each cell, resulting in shorter operating time as a battery pack. The cell-balance function, during the charging cycle, bypasses the charging path of cells that have reached the cell balance detection voltage, thus correcting the potential difference between cells. Some products also have cell balancing functions during discharge. For detailed operation, please refer to the datasheet of each product.
