An Automotive Linear Regulator that Supports 48V Auxiliary Batteries
and Contributes to Lower Standby Current
Reduces System Standby Current with the Industry's Lowest* Current Consumption
Automotive power consumption continues to rise year by year due to advancements in safety, comfort, enhanced connectivity, and stricter environmental regulations. To address these challenges, there is a growing demand to replace existing components with more power-efficient alternatives.
The S-19230/1 Series delivers the industry’s lowest* current consumption during operation of 2.0µA typ. This reduces the system’s standby current by efficiently supplying power to continuously operating sensors and other essential components.
*As a linear regulator supporting 66V operation. Based on our research as of September 2025.
Compatible with 48V Auxiliary Batteries with an 80V Rating
To address the increasing power demands of modern vehicles, power supply systems are transitioning from 12V to 48V.
The S-19230/1 Series supports high-withstand voltages, with a maximum operating voltage of 66V and a rated voltage of 80V, supporting compatibility with 48V auxiliary batteries. Furthermore, our upcoming product lineup will include step-down (buck) DC-DC converters and battery monitoring ICs designed for compatibility with 48V auxiliary battery systems.
No Need for Overvoltage Protection Components
The S-19230/1 Series, featuring an externally set output voltage, is equipped with an open-loop protection circuit. If an open fault occurs in the negative feedback loop, the IC detects the abnormality and prevents the regulator’s output voltage from rising.
This eliminates the need for external components to protect subsequent circuits from overvoltage, reducing the overall system cost and minimizing mounting area.
