– Ultra-thin package for high-density mounting –
ABLIC Inc. (President: Nobumasa Ishiai, head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter “ABLIC”) today launched the S-57GD, S-57GS, S-57GN, S-57TZ and S-57RB (*1), five automotive Hall effect ICs in the world’s thinnest package (*2) of 0.5mm. This is a full range of products that allows customers to select the product that best suits their individual needs.
This new lineup of ABLIC’s automotive Hall effect ICs are delivered in a 0.5mm HSNT-6(2025) package, the world’s thinnest, which is roughly half the thickness in comparison to our previous package as well as other companies’ packages(*3). As a result, the adjustment dials of air conditioners, navigation systems, and other modules can be designed thinner and smaller for better operation, while thinner power window motors can be more design-friendly.
Although these products come in an ultra-thin package, the pins protrude from the sides of the outer lead package to allow automated visual inspection to confirm that the pins are properly soldered to the board. A TSOT-23-3S package permitting automated visual inspection is also available.
It is also PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) capable and is designed to qualify for the AEC(*)-Q100 Grade 0 (* Automotive Electronics Council) standard for automotive ICs.
(*1) The S-57TZ was launched in December 2019.
(*2)(*3) Based on our research as of June 2020.

The series has passed the three-temperature test (low, normal and high temperature).
It will be qualified for the AEC-Q100 Grade 0 and is also PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) capable.
